It is designed for individuals who are trying to become certified as gambling counselors. This review covers the content areas of the International Certification Examination for Gambling Counselors using multiple choice questions and other interactive content material. This home study course also delivers daily email material to subscribers. Passing score of the International Certification Examination for Gambling Counselors is required for ICGC-I and II credentials and must be submitted to the IGCCB office with your application. There is an examination fee of $210 (for NCPG Members) and $310 (for non-members). NCPG is the administrator for the ICGC (International Certified Gambling Counselor) credentials. Special certifications are available for clergy/lay ministers, co-occurring disorder specialists, and video-gaming disorder.

Jody compares the national certification process with the process to be designated as 'competent' to treat pathological gambling in the state of Pennsylvania.
